Wakanda Forever (Book 3 Pt. 6)

While I ranted and yelled about how stupid it was for the Academy to nominate Black Panther for best picture there are a few things that must be said.
After a string of just ok MCU films that seemed to be nothing but, filler and non serious stories, Black Panther arrives and gives us a truly deep MCU film everyone (regardless of skin color) can get behind. This film is a truly great story that talks about shaping your destiny and deciding what you want to be. Add to that some incredible set pieces, costumes and characters and you get one of the best MCU films in the library. This movie was a truly fun ride regardless of the missteps we get in the third act but, I was truly satisfied with the end product.
Black Panther paves the way for more great films in the MCU and I am glad that this one brought us back to a reminder as to what makes the MCU so great.

DO NOT ORDER THIS DVD

This version is so dark I can barely distinguish what is going on... I saw the movie and I know the difference. I adjusted my tv to the most extreme settings still very poor quality. Was this a bootleg copy?... VERY DISAPPOINTED I am trying to watch this movie... it is skipping, pixelating... just awful!!!!... I will call Amazon customer service... totally unacceptable... I am so angry right now....!!!!

This movie didn't live up to the hype for me. I felt like it had a rather mediocre storyline. It was kind of your typical superhero movie in my opinion. Perhaps I was just expecting too much. If I could return it I would. I would definitely recommend renting this movie before you decide to buy. Entertaining but not worth buying in my opinion.

This movie did not live up to the hype. I own all the MCU movies. This one doesn't make the the ten. It is beautifully filmed but the story is weak the acting is wooden (except Forest great as usual). Was disappointed overall.

Full of CGI. Lots of meaningless dialogue. No character development.

Nice special effects. I still think the overall story line has been done to death. Seems like an adaptation of the Lion King.

The movie's great. But the DVD stopped working after the second viewing. No idea why; it never happened to me before.

I love the movie. But I felt it was in poor quality. I played it once now It freezes. I've tried several times, I'm going to return It maybe the second one will be better!

After hearing the hype, I was disappointed. This is Star Wars mixed with a little Coming to America. I watched with a couple of Africans and we laughed at the crazy mix of accents from all over the continent and the romanticizing narrative. If you like fantasy, maybe you'll like The Black Panther, but you'll have to forgive the weak, muddled story line. Visually, it's good (great costumes) and that's about it. This DVD will gather much dust before I waste time watching it again. In other words, never.
