I bought this for my wife for a Christmas present and had in in my stash of gifts to wrap. She told me this afternoon if I was planing on buying her this CD, do not. Later on I took the CD to her and asked her why she didn't like it. She said she had heard several of the songs on the radio and there was nothing special about the songs. Nothing to distinguish them from any other recording of the songs. I was surprised because we both love her other music. And after reading other reviews I don't think either of us would enjoy it because we aren't in to the jazz sound very much. So I will be returning the unopened CD.
This album of Lauren Daigle is very jazzy, and I do not care for jazz music. I did not find it very Christmasy but again I do not like jazz music. I love all of the other cd's by her by the way! It seems she did not put the amount of effort in this Christmas album as she did in her other CD's
The description of the packaging on this item was NOT as it was described when I opened the package. There were pieces of the plastic falling out of the package when I opened it. And this was supposed to be sent from an Amazon distribution center? Not the usual quality that I have come accustomed to by Amazon. But the good news was that the CD was in excellent shape & played very well. I had to go buy another case to store the CD in so that it could stay in as good condition.
