Five stars aren't enough

I would give these gift cards six stars if they offered more than five. For many years my wife and I agonized over every gift-giving occasion, but especially Christmas. We shopped til we dropped- went to toy stores, department stores, and all of the specialty stores, and even small boutiques, trying to find the perfect gifts for those on our gift lists. We did the "Black Friday" events, and were up at the crack of dawn, to do so. We then wrapped and sent these hand selected gifts all over the country to the recipients. Then came an epiphany- we sent out Amazon gift cards in lieu of all the craziness that we had done for years. Holy Cow, it's nice to join the 21st century! Everyone LOVED them! Everything FIT- no need to return or exchange! Christmas is no longer a stressful ordeal for us. It is a season that has actually changed for the better- no exaggeration!

Razor sharp container

Gift card is great! However the container got me 2 stitches in my finger.. razor sharp. Should definitely be re-engineered....
**update** one year later and I have learned the containers have not been reengineered.. I still do not have any feeling in my finger after having stitches over the wonderful holidays and being promised I would be contacted again days later.. I still cannot feel my finger. Thanks Amazon! Yet, i am still a loyal customer...

Giving a gift card in a tin, in a wrapped gift box was so much better than simply handing the recipient an envelope with the card enclosed.

I ordered the gift card to be delivered on December 24 with confidence that Amazon would deliver as promised. The gift card didn't deliver until December 26, the day after Christmas, so my nephew didn't have a gift from me on Christmas day. I'm incredibly disappointed and after being a customer of Amazon for many years, will reconsider utilizing them when the delivery date counts.

I believe I wrote this before, but if not here goes. I am thoroughly impressed with your customer service. Being disappointed in the loss of cards sent to granddaughter in WA due to theft on porch, you were contacted and cards were replaced free of charge and no additional charges. That's A++ service to me not having to shell out another $175. I never doubted Amazon and it's products but will always depend on sincerity to correct a problem that seemed doomed; I hope the first cards were denied to the thief and the loss to Amazon returned.
