I have been an avid reader for many years and sometimes read in bed or in all sorts of places. My hands are no longer young and sometimes they ache from holding books up for hours, when I am reading paperback books or hardcovers. But I can read the books on my Fire Tablet with the Kid-Proof Case for hours longer with no discomfort. And if I ever dropped my Fire Tablet there is a good chance that the tablet would still work as well as it did before I dropped it. Not that I want to drop my tablet, but I do drop things occasionally, more than I did when I was young. So I recommend this Kid - Proof Case for the Amazon Fire Tablet for people with achy hands of any age for most of the same reasons that this case is great for children, plus a few other reasons. It is similar to the cases that I have used for years first on a seven inch Fire Tablet, next on a an eight inch Amazon Fire Tablet, and recently on the ten inch Amazon Fire Tablet that I recently bought for about the same price that I bought my seven inch Fire Tablet several years ago.All three tablets are more comfortable for reading than a hardcover book or a thick paperback book and as comfortable as a thin paperback book with this style of case.
I bought my wife a new Fire HD10 and kid proof case for Christmas. Our children are grown ups and out of the house so there are no kids to be concerned of. However, my wife sometimes leaves her kindles on the arm of her recliner or on the edge of the side table. Now while the small puppy or the cat have not knocked her kindle or fire onto the floor as of yet, the cat has knocked my reader off several times. I felt the child proof case was our best option and she was delighted. It's larger frame fits easily in her hands and by getting the pink color is certainly hard to lose or misplace. She's gotten a lot of complements on it too.
I ordered the yellow, and my 3 year old was instantly mad that it was "orange". Its not orange... But its not the yellow pictured, either. It's a darker yellow. Darker than a mustard color. Slightly orange looking. Other than that, its perfect. Its thick, and seems like it would absorb a drop really well. I thought 35 bucks for a tablet case was a crime tho, regaurdless of how well it works. I'm complaining but it seems like it should do its job.
I bought the kid proof case for my Kindle. I drop things due to a disability and I wanted to protect my Kindle. Works great. I also bought one for my adult daughter and my SIL for their Kindles as they have pets who like to jump and knock things off tables. Worth the $ spent
This is my fourth time purchasing this style of case for my kids’ tablets. I’ve purchased the ones for the Fire HD 8s and now this one for the Fire HD 10. These cases are perfect for kids or anyone that drops their tablets easily. It’s easy for my kids to hold, cushioned, and protective at the same time. My kids drop their tablets so much even face down and this case protects the tablets so well! Definitely worth the money. Fits the HD Fire 10 perfectly!
Pros: Great for 8 years and older. Parent control is good to have. Good screen quality and interface is smooth. Recommend rubber bumper case for added protection. Cons: Froze once and no instruction on how to reboot or reset tablet.
Other than that granddaughter loves it, reading stories, Bible and educational and girl games.
I love the feel of this rubbery protector. I love how the buttons are easy to feel and how the ports are deeply recessed and easy to find. With this particular model's case, you can pass a lanyard or shoe lace under the two top ports so you can hang the fire from a knob, a post or even around your neck! Yellow is my favorite color too!
