I bought my son another tablet because his other one was outdated and had a shattered screen. I decided I was not going to buy another tablet without getting a protective case. Delivery was fast and packing was great. The product itself has saved the device numerous times already. The first time my son dropped it I was doing the "try to dive across the floor and catch it routine" but wasn't quick enough. Much to my surprise the tablet softly bounced and landed on the floor gently. After I got over the initial shock, because I didn't think it would work that well, I knew I had made a great choice in purchasing this item.
Wow, this thing is thick! This is great for kids in particular or anyone prone to dropping. Whatever it's made from is soft and squishy but also pretty firm, especially around the corners where it's likely to be hit. It's thick enough around the edges that if it's dropped face first, the screen should be well protected. It has a really snug fit so I'm not worried about little fingers getting in under it and pulling it off the way they did with their Nabi Jr. All of the buttons and holes are fully accessible.
I am extremely pleased with this case. Though lightweight it is well constructed and crafted in a way so that it protects the Kindle from bumps and bruises and it also will protect the screen if the Kindle happens to fall on its face. This is a great buy and I highly recommend if you want to keep your Kindle safe from harm
Love this case. Had bought another kind but it wouldn’t stay on. My kids kept throwing it down to get the case off. This one no problems. It’s stayed on since I put it on. And no cracks in the screen protector either. The color is good and bright as well. Will be ordering this case to go on other kids tablets at Christmas. Just wish they weren’t so expensive.
The camera, plugs, and buttons are still easily accessible. The case makes it easier to grip and protects the screen becuase the case will hit the ground instead of the screen. If you drop it on, say, the edge of a table, I could still see screen damage happening, so you may still want a screen protector... but I'm happy with this case, and my son loves that it matches the case on his Echo Dot!!
I'm sure there's more protective cases out there, but this is excellent for the price point. My 4 year old and I are quite happy with it.
I really liked this case for my son. He owns the 2016 Kindle fire 7 that came with the green foam. His green foam.case has suffered many bumps, drops, and flings across the room. These cases are amazing for what they use it for. This case is a tad slimmer than his previous one. But still good for small hands. Grips great as well. I understand that this case is for the 2017 Kindle but purchased it because it was the only one they offered in black. A whole new case gives his tablet a sleek brand new look . If u are planning to purchase this case for the 2016 version be aware that it does have some inconsistencies through it's design. The volume buttons overlap but won't affect performance of the tablet.the buttons are still accessible. Another thing is that the camera alignment is a little off but what do u expect of it's for alternating models . Other than that it will fit the body snugly. I really loved my some new case. He even thought he got a new tablet.
I bought this for my four year old grandson, to help him learn. He has ADHD with speech issues, but very smart. His last one he had, off brand. He dropped and that quick screen busted. I would highly recommend the tablet and this case as well.
You know how rough kids can be with their "toys", even expensive ones like a tablet! I love this case! Good feel, easy to hold, not "rubbery smelling". (Actually, it has a slightly good smell, though I can't describe it, and you'd have to have your nose right on top of it to even notice!)
This device fits the kids' little hands great, doesn't slip out, and has definitely saved the device a few times!
My 1st grade teacher wife bought this case for her classroom Fire Tablet ... and yes ... WE PAY for these tech classroom supplies out of our own pockets. And no, MY Public school teacher wife (in the inner city) is NOT paid enough. Why? Because SHE is a highly effective, loving teacher, whose kids are all well prepared for 2nd grade. She’s been teacher of the year, and is the most-requested teacher in her school, and she mentors other teachers. She has all her adorable little 1st graders working in her online “dojo” doing reading enrichment with microphone headsets (bought by us on Amazon) that allow my wife to literally monitor their homework (reading aloud) in real time 24/7 ... and monitor which kids are doing their work. MY teacher wife goes far beyond what her Teachers UNION has negotiated for her NOT to do. But alas, America doesn’t pay BONUSES to extremely competent teachers who bring up her entire school districts test scores. She is paid the same as teachers who ... as the UNION tells them ... “work to contract”. Our entire Federal Government pays BONUSES to VA workers who let out Vets DIE ! But pay a top-tier, AWESOME teacher any reward pay? At all? Nope. What a country with fouled-up priorities. My wife will NEVER “work to contract” ... she will ALWAYS do far more than “her job” ... for NO extra pay. Because she LOVES every kid in her classroom ... yep, even the ones with serious emotional problems. Meanwhile her School Board pay $100’s of thousands of dollars to their cronies ... for “special studies” ... about why some teachers children are more successful than others.
Oh, and these cases fit tightly, are super KID-padded, are very “grippy”, and really enhance the 7” Fire Tablets.
