Once again I have nothing but praise for Amazon! I love this cover to my Kindle. I love the pretty blue color, but I really, really love the fact that when I open the cover the Kindle turns on and when I close the cover it turns the Kindle off. It's a mystery to me how it works - all I know is that it DOES work! I love it! It looks so classy. Oh, and I was supposed to get it day-after-tomorrow, but I've already had it about a week! I love that it comes earlier than they predict. I wish all companies did as well as Amazon!

It's perfect. I'm glad I can keep my kindle safe. Not bulky.
UPDATE: I spoke too soon...I took it on vacation (plane ride) in my purse and really barely had it in my purse as I was reading it most of the time. The corners broke off. I'm pretty annoyed by this. Now I'll have to spend more money getting a replacement. That's never something you want to have to do.

I had difficulty getting my new 8th Generation basic Kindle into this cover but I did finally manage it. It snaps in. Yes, it is THAT snug.
But I really like that all I have to do is open the cover to turn on my Kindle and that when I close the cover the Kindle goes back to sleep.
Once I realized that I was not going to be taking the Kindle out of the cover (as I always had with my Kindle Keyboard), I was worried if the Kindle would be too heavy to hold one-handed. This 8th generation is lighter than the Paperwhite. It has been fine holding it one-handed (except that I need to avoid hitting the reset button on the bottom).
If you have an 8th generation Kindle, I strongly recommend you get this cover made precisely for this Kindle!

As far as durability goes, I've had this case for a few months and haven't had any problems with the corners chipping or break off, or the cover causing any issues. I use my Kindle nightly to read before bed, and will also throw it in my messenger bag every morning in the rare chance that I might have 10-15 min of downtime during the day where I can pull out my Kindle and squeeze in a chapter. The magnetic closure with the on/off works fine, and it fits the Kindle like a glove (as it should). I've been wary that there could be quality control issues with things breaking off since there's so many reviews of that happening, but so far I would have to say that my cover is doing well. I'm not the most careful person either and I'm not babying the case, so it's being exposed to what I would say is the standard amount of abuse a case should be expected to handle, and so far so good.

GREAT!!! Light. You can turn the cover back so that you can read with one hand. I love turning it on and off just by opening or closing the cover. Also like the looks. I have only had it for five weeks, but it has seen lots of use.

Fits well on the Kindle, easy to install, and makes a nice compact package that's smaller and lighter than a regular paperback. If you get your Kindle without Ads, then you can flip open the cover and it automatically goes to the page where you left off. Otherwise, you would have to clear the ad to start reading again.

Got this mouse for mostly work use on the work laptop. This thing works great and is a bit cheaper than the usual $10 deals you can get on similar Logitech mice. What I like about this one is you can adjust the sensitivity and also the larger body size, which makes use more comfortable. For the $7 I paid, this thing is great, im sure if you spend $10-15 you can find something much better , but I'm happy with this thing for the price.

Got a new kindle for the wife, and she can not put it down. And with the unlimited kindle subscription, she has now stopped buying hard cover books, and uncluttered her night stand. Thank goodness for amazon's kindle devices, now my wife can take her reading times any where she wants.

After going several different places and even trying a couple different covers, this one works.
The one they carried at Best Buy, right underneath the shelf where the kindle was purchased, didn’t fit. Makes sense I guess

Great cover for Kindle. Won't offer a lot of protection if you drop it, but I do like how it automatically turns off the Kindle when you close it.

The cover is not heavy. Opens and closes super easily and protects my kindle.
