To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This is my bath-time go-to for relaxing achy muscles. It's a great price and delivered to my door so I don't have to carry 20 lbs of salts up the stairs, some poor Amazon delivery person does. Definitely will keep buying and highly recommend.
Still not cheap, but I don't see why Epsom Salt is so expensive these days. I prefer getting 3 of these 8 lb. bags because I don't have to lift anything heavy and keep one by the tub at a time. It saves space. Most of the other bags are 20-25 lbs or so. This is still cheaper that other salts out there, and it does the job. Being that you need 3 cups per bath, this stuff goes quickly. I use it regularly to detox. I will continue to repurchase the Amazon brand.
I'm a big fan of other name brand epsom soaking salts. But those can get pricey. This stuff has been great. I almost prefer the plain better because I can add my own essential oils to the bath water, so I can have some variety. I like a different name brand because of the texture of the salts. These salts seemed to be a little more coarse. But they do the trick.
It’s nice that I’ve found a epsom salt in Bulk. I work outside in extreme environments, so at night I enjoy a epsom soak. Good quality product, great price and I don’t have to pay outrageous prices for a 2lb bag anymore. Will be ordering consistently!
As a 70 year old, I need to combat some foot issues, and epsom salts was initially recommended by my podiatrist as a treatment following removal of both great toenails. Believe me, they weren't "great", having given me all manner of ingrown toenail issues for years! So I was told to soak in epsom salts twice a day for 10 minutes to aid in recovery following the removal procedure. I went online and ordered the Amazon Solimo brand of epsom salts Inon-scented). I also purchased (from Amazon) a plastic tub to use for this purpose, which is ideal because it uses enough water to cover my toes, but not as much as if I were trying to this in the bathtub. In addition you need a 10 to 1 concentration of the epsom salts to the water, so a bathtub would need a much greater amount of salts to be effective because of the much greater amount of water involved. In my little plastic tub which is about 13" by 10", I put 1 cup of salts and fill the tub to about 2 to 3 inches deep with very warm water. I soak twice a day for at least 20 minutes.
You notice that the cracked skin on your heels disappears, as well as calluses elsewhere on your feet or toes. Your feet become much softer (a bonus).
Tip: Use a lotion (I like hemp products) after your soaks to replace moisture lost during the salt soaks.
Even though my feet have recovered from the procedure, I continue to use the epsom salts twice a day to maintain my feet. You can't beat the Amazon "Solimo" brand for quality and it's packaged in sizes that are easy to work with. I purchased a three-pack of the 8-pound bags, could not be happier. Recommended!
I didn't want to reduce the the rating, but this product is unscented. I don't do well with additives. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIT IN A TUB!! When you shower, plug the drain, add a cup of salts and let the water build up-think reflexology-through the feet, into your system. IF you have an extra minute, sit and soak... you will appreciate the benefits!
The bags are huge. I will be set with Epsom Salts for quite a while. I usually order a well known and popular brand, but the Amazon brand popped up as a recommended item. The price was great, so I ordered the set of 3. I am SO happy with that decision! Thanks Amazon for the recommendation, I will be purchasing this product in both scented and unscented from you from now on!
This Epsom salt smells strongly of some kind of essential oils. The instructions say it can be taken orally as a laxative. It smells so bad that I am not going to take it orally. I hope you are warning people against this.
