To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Buyer beware I tried to install an old chip in a new kindle, a replacement for a kindle with a defective battery. So I purchased a new chip. I specifically searched for data chip for kindle and this chip came up I purchased it installed it and it states " not compatable" and I had to jump through some hoops Not sure if it works Not happy
I have bought several of these to use in our Foscam R2C and R2 security cameras. They work great. And they were shipped fast to us is simple small packaging. Will buy again when I need more of these micro SD cards.
Update 8 Nov 2019, one of the cards has burned up. Indoor security camera stopped working and I found I had to remove this micro SD card to make the camera work. Put the card back in and the heat from it burned my finger. Then upon removing it I found it has a small black burned spot on it. Cannot find any way to contact the MFG for the warranty even though the Amazon page says 10 year warranty and past the Amazon 30 days. So I guess I will not be buying any more of these. I've never had any other card burn up like this. Downgrading the 5 star to a 3 star because only 4 of the 5 cards I purchased still work and it has only been 7 months.
I got this for my mom for her birthday. I helped her put music on her cell phone, but ran out of storage from the main phone itself a month or two ago (she isn't tech savvy enough to do streaming music). I was a little leery since this card is a lot less expensive than what I've paid for others in the past, but I checked it on my phone before giving it to her as a present and it worked perfectly in my phone and in hers. I haven't completely filled it up, but it seems to be the genuine amount of storage it claims to be and we haven't had any issues with the phone accessing music or it being slow to transfer files.
I bought it for a game console. Speed is good, price is acceptable, so far no problem. Maybe is not the best choice from memory size, but from the price side, it has a good value. I think the capacity would be enough at least for a couple of years to use moderately. Of course ever onece a while you need to delete your unwanted data or transfer them to another space, which is fine to me.
This device has good performance for the price. gnome-disk reported read speeds up to ~94 MB/s, and write speeds around 22.6 MB/s . When writing the raspberry pi image the card, I saw speeds closer to 5 MB/s writes, your mileage may vary.
I'm attaching the benchmarks from gnome-disks uility. Overall, I'm satisfied with the value.
I purchased this memory card in early February and this card just stopped working yesterday. It just stopped working no notice. I started getting a message that my memory was getting dangerously low I was surprised, so I took out the card and reinstated it twice thinking that might help. But no it did not!!! Will not purchase another card from this manufacturer.
For safety against malware, I always first format (FAT32) a drive. Initially, both of these cards appeared to 'hang-up', but secondary attempts successfully formatted. Saw a few negative reviews based on device compatibility, but I tested (h2testw) fine on both Lenovo ThinkPad (Win10) and BeeLink GS-1 (Android 7.1): read 24GB/s write 16GB/s.
Formatted this on Win10 PC as exFAT- to 58gb. 4+gb got "lost" somehow. Data corrupted after a few weeks of use. Reformatted it and will see if it stays true or corrupts again. Would not use for holding/transferring any important data. If you use on camera, backup contents ASAP.
