I was going to purchase the Cricut Brite Light for the weeding of my projects but saw it would take a week to receive. Happen to see this light at more than a third less in price and thought why not! Boy am I glad, this was an excellent purchase ! And I saved at least fifty dollars! Great investment and does the same as the higher priced name brand!
What I like about this light box is that the power cord is wired directly. This will surely make a difference with the problem I had with another store's product when the port quit working and power would not stay on. Can't see that happening with this one. Actually bought two of these. One for myself for diamond painting and another as a gift for a friend that also does the diamond painting.
I really like this light box so far except for the surface is not smooth. It will be okay for some applications such as tracing patterns for cutting out fabric appliques but if I need a smooth line I will have to add a smooth transparent surface (such as glass or hard plastic). Not sure the reasoning behind this surface.?
I recently bought one of these A3 LED light pads to use in my studio, primarily to transfer drawings onto watercolor paper. I find the A3 size to be perfect for my current needs. It's large enough for most of my work, doesn't take up excessive space on my work surface (see first photo) and can easily be stored alongside my illustration table when not in use. It's thin, lightweight, portable and comes with a its own storage bag, although I would opt for a more durable carry case when traveling.
This A3 light pad also puts out a surprising amount of light. I find it easy to see inked drawing on most light to medium weight drawing paper through a sheet of 300 gsm (140 lb) watercolor paper (see second photo). I can also make out pencil drawings if they are on lighter weight paper, as long as the pencil isn't too light. In fact, I can actually trace inked drawings created on tracing paper, drafting vellum or translucent marker paper (like Bienfang Graphics 360 Marker Paper) through a sheet of 600 gsm (280 lb) watercolor paper, although it does take a little more effort. Tracing onto such thick watercolor paper is a challenge even on my large, metal-framed Lumina light box that uses three fluorescent light tubes, so I'm floored that I can do it with such a thin LED light pad!
As far as negatives go, I docked this light pad one star only because mine arrived with a small, but noticeable scratch on the front, lower left corner of the frame. The light pad doesn't look as good as it should have for being bought new, so I don't want to display it on my desk when it's not in use. This also raises a bit of concern over durability. At this price point and with a light pad this thin, I don't expect it to be super durable, but I would like it to hold up for a while. I would have exchanged the one I received for another, but the last few weeks have been incredibly hectic and I just missed the return window yesterday! Oh well.
Overall, I do really like this light pad and I can confidently recommend it to those who need to transfer drawings onto watercolor, mixed media or heavier-stock drawing vellum. It does the job quite well and the price point is reasonable, so it's definitely worth the investment. I will be using it often.

I love this product!!! I love the fact that the light is adjustable which means it can meet each person's needs. It is well made and I feel confident that I will be able to use it for years to come. The only minor problem is that sometimes my hands will inadvertently touch the light buttons and either adjust the light of turn it off. When I contemplated which size I wanted to buy, I decided to go for the A3 size and I am glad I did. It was worth the additional cost.
My wife does a LOT of art work, drawing, painting, etc. and she just loves this unit. The light is adjustable from super bright for heavier materials and easy to dim for something that is almost sheer. Easy to setup and use, it's a fantastic addition to any hobbyists Art room. Much Recommended...
This is a great light board for diamond paintings. I use it on the lowest light setting and it’s almost a little too bright sometimes but I’m getting used to it and it beats having to strain my eyes to see the numbers. I’ve added two photos of the light off and one with the light on the lowest setting to show how well the numbers show up with the light shining through. I also like that it has a regular cord instead of a USB port in the side because it feels more substantial. I’ll update my review if I ever run into any issues but for now I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
This is an outstanding light box. The dedicated, built-in power cord; nice size (A3); brightness, with several luminosity levels; and sturdy build are great! I use this light box for a variety of art and drafting projects, and I am very happy with it. It’s a marked improvement from some of the more no-frills boards I have purchased off amazon in the past (especially the cheaper light boards that use usb for power). The no slip bottom, included clips (to prevent paper movement), and carry bag are nice touches too! A standout light box—out of the box and ready to rock in seconds.
I love the matte surface of this light box, it feels nice and won't be getting any fingerprints. I also like how the cord is permanently in the side of it because there's no chance for the connection to get loose there. The touch-sensitive buttons are perfectly responsive, and the 4 levels of brightness are good enough to see through Bristol. And the price isn't bad either ;) The first one that was shipped to me by Amazon had a problem with the buttons where they weren't responding right out of the box, but I contacted the seller and they refunded me promptly and the interaction was very pleasant. My second light box is perfect! :)
