Editing Product PagesAfter you have created a product page, you may need to edit certain information about it or add additional details and images. Sellers can use the "Edit This Product" feature to submit new page contributions. Sellers do not have to create a page in order to add details to their Amazon Catalog view of that page. The Edit This Product feature is available to all Pro Merchants. When you create a listing by matching to existing detail page, or when you edit your exiting listings, you will be given the option to contribute product information. The product page you see on Amazon.com may reflect details you provide as well as those of others who contribute to that product's information. Your contributions, as shown in the editing page view within your Seller Account, may not always appear for buyers on Amazon.com. See our Page Ownership topic for more information. Using Edit This ProductThe "Edit This Product" feature allows sellers to edit previous contributions or make new submissions. There are multiple ways to access the feature. If you have created a new product detail page and have the ISBN or ASIN for the Amazon catalog page, click the "Edit your product detail pages" link in the Manage Your Inventory section of the Seller Account. Simply enter the product identifier and click the "Search now" button to open the editing page. When you create a new listing or relist a closed SKU, the confirmation page that appears after you click the "Submit your listing" button will display a "Product Information" section.
Click the "Edit" button in the upper right, then click the "Edit this product" button in the box at the right side of the next page. If you have an active listing for a product, start from the "View your current inventory" link in your Seller Account. Locate your listing and click the "Edit" link. The "Edit This Product" box will appear on the next page. Contributing Product InformationIf you are making your first contribution to an ASIN, the product information page that appears will be empty. Sellers cannot overwrite existing information in the Amazon catalog directly. Instead, your product information page holds only the content that you submit. Here is an example of the page you will see:
Use the plus and minus signs to open sections of the page. The options for information needed to identify a product as well as recommended and optional product details will vary across product lines. To learn more about preparing product image submissions, see Adding Images. Note: It is not possible to edit the category, subcategory, or product type associated with a product detail page. These classifications are set in the first step of page creation. |
