How to Give a Magazine Subscription as a Gift

We want to make it easy to send magazines as gifts, and to give those gifts a personal touch. Once you add Magazines to your Shopping Cart, you can send those items in your Shopping Cart to different shipping addresses at Checkout. Since Magazines always ship free, there is no cost for sending magazines in the same order to different addresses.

Magazines are shipped by the publishers themselves, so gift-wrapping isn’t available at this time. However, you can either print out your own gift notification card or send an e-mail notification, both great ways to send a gift quickly or give a last-minute gift. See how below.

Print a Magazine Gift Notification Card

If you’d like to give a card to let someone know you’ve gotten them a magazine subscription, here’s what to do. (Note that the gift card creator requires Flash Player.)

1. Visit the magazine's page on our site.

2. Locate the "Print a Magazine Gift Card" link (just to the right of the cover image).

3. Click the link to create your card.

4. Follow the instructions there to print the card.

E-mail a Magazine Gift Notification Card

If you’d rather let them know about their gift via e-mail, you can use Amazon's Gift Central to create a personalized note with the magazine cover, so you can let them know you remembered them in time.

1. Visit Amazon's Gift Central after you've placed your order.

2. Go to your purchase history located within your Gift Organizer.

3. Find the gift you want to send a notification for.

4. Under that item, click the link "print or e-mail a gift notification for this item."

5. Once you've personalized the notification, you can e-mail the Magazine Gift Notification Card or print it out.
